I do apologize for my shitty updating. I could give you every excuse in the book like that I was drinking to much, playing in the sun, swimming, checking out ruins, sleeping and just enjoying being away from all this technology and the need to check in but they are bullshit excuses. Real ones, but bullshit none the less.
In all honestly, laziness has gotten the better of me. I mean, my hostel is right behind (or in front) of the internet cafe. The swimming beach, bar and grocery store are all farther away than here. I’m also cheap. It’s like $7/hour here for internet. Yes, $7. That almost 3 beers or 6 rum and cokes during happy hour. See what I mean?
That and I’ve been failing hard on the hook up front. Mainly because I’m spending so much time on this island and don’t want to get a reputation. Not that I care, but I just prefer to not be known as the chick that takes a different guy home every night. Though there was this one really sweet guy that I was hanging with. It took him three days to make it known he was interested. It was adorable. I know guys don’t like being called that but that’s how it is.
Oh! I wrote a wicked updated version of “Favourite Things” from the Sound of Music, but I left it in my book in the hostel and I’m not about to go back to get it. Again, laziness wins. If it makes you guys feel better, I haven’t updated my paper journal since the 5th of May. And that thing was being updated like crazy. Oh! And I’ve yet to take any real pictures here. Go me!
I lost my voice the other day due to: karaoke, trivia, drunken singing and probably an excess of beer, rum and cigarettes. I blame the karaoke though. Because karaoke is evil.
The best thing ever: there is a sports bar that shows hockey! Yay for watching semi’s!
